Hi! My name is Amanda, and I’ve been spending 10 years or so trying to figure out how to get money without getting a job. It’s been a process, and I’m still not as expert as I’d like to be. But in talking to some people with the same goals, I realized that
- a) I have, in the last 10 years, learned some stuff that would be of value to those just starting out on this road, and
b) that stuff, if it is out there on the web, is not out there in an aggregated, cohesive, easy-to-find format.
So I started this blog to share my insights on self-monetization via non-employment.

Privacy Policy
I collect no data on you, and know nothing about you. You can therefore be completely confident that I will never share or abuse your data.
Non-discrimination Policy
It is my belief and hope that the information contained in this blog can and will be valuable to anyone regardless of age, race, gender, sex, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or income. One of the best things about the internet is that it opens up possibilities for people who previously didn’t have the resources or opportunity to control their own money supply, and I hope to help disadvantaged groups claim the equality that my country theoretically stands for.
That being said, I am a 28-year-old middle-class Caucasian female living in Colorado, USA. I can only write from my experience, because I have no other to use. I try as much as possible to write for a broad audience, but I’m sure I will slip up sometimes. If you feel that one of my posts excludes you (probably by making an assumption that applies to me but not to you), please contact me and let me know. I’m always interested in broadening my worldview, and the places I need it most are in the places that I don’t realize that my worldview is narrow.
Editing Policy
Although this is site is written as a blog, and hosted on WordPress, it is not really a news site or a record of events through time. If new events (or more likely, my education) change what I want to say about a topic, I will edit the relevant post directly, rather than forcing new readers to sort through a bunch of addenda at the bottom of the page. I don’t think this really affects your life in any way, but I felt that — given the expectations of the blogosphere — it was best to make this policy clear.
